For those seeking a leisurely onsen (hot spring) experience in Kiso-Fukushima without being rushed, we offer two special rooms with open-air baths: "Tsukikagari" and "Tsukiakari." Both are located on the top floor and feature Kiso cypress open-air baths on the balcony. While visiting the public bath is part of the journey's enjoyment, the unique experience of soaking in the bath while feeling the presence of the Kiso River from your room is exclusive to these special rooms. For dinner, we provide a private dining room, extending the ambiance of your stay into your dining experience.
We have only two special rooms with open-air baths: "Tsukikagari" and "Tsukiakari".
"Tsukikagari" is a Japanese-style room with a bed and an open-air bath, while "Tsukiakari" is a Japanese-style room with an open-air bath. Among our guest rooms, these two special rooms are the only ones equipped with private open-air baths. Tsukikagari is located on the top floor corner room along the Kiso River and was renovated in February 2022. You can relax with the subtle scent of new wood. Tsukiakari, also a special room on the top floor, allows you to enjoy the gentle sound of the Kiso River flowing nearby as your background music.
When choosing a guest room, size and capacity are important, but what we want you to experience in these two rooms is the comfort of having the onsen (hot spring) close by. After a soak, return to the tatami and sit, savoring the lingering warmth. If you pause the conversation, the tranquil time along the Kiso River flows gently. Tsukikagari features a bed and tatami room with an open-air bath, located in the corner room on the top floor along the Kiso River. Both are special rooms on the top floor, allowing you to experience the unique ambiance of our inn by the Kiso River.
The rooms are equipped with everything you need for your stay: TV, telephone, safe, kettle, tea set, air conditioning, hair dryer, air purifier and refrigerator. Amenities include yukata, haori jackets, bath towels, hand towels, toothbrushes and after-bath tabi socks. A sip of tea after the bath, shoulders relaxing in a yukata and haori, feet settled in tabi: each small gesture recalls the comfort of staying at a ryokan.
Note: the water in the private open-air baths is not hot-spring water (please enjoy the onsen in the main bathhouse on the 1st floor). There is no washbasin or shower on the balcony; please use the bathroom inside the room.
